Certified OBM Practitioner Training
With an evidence-based protocol for behavior change
The Certified Organizational Behavior Management Practitioner Training is a proven step-by-step approach to securing behavior change in the workplace. Under the guidance of a VU University and APMG International certified OBM Trainer/Coach, you will work on making your behavioral intervention successful. You get the opportunity to address your organizational behavior and performance issues and collaborate with our experienced OBM Trainer/Coach to develop an effective Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) that will positively influence behavior and improve performance in your organization.
Upon completing the Certified Organizational Behavior Management Practitioner training, you can independently implement and supervise positive behavior interventions. This training is designed for those who have already completed the Certified OBM Foundation training. It builds on the knowledge gained in the foundation-level training and provides practical application. The training is also based on the successful Certified OBM Practitioner training of the VU University Amsterdam.

Become an APMG Certified OBM Practitioner!
The Certified OBM Practitioner program can be started anytime. You can work on your case and Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) from anywhere. Benefit from our OBM Instructors who are flexible with scheduling online coaching sessions, including in the evenings and on Saturdays. Receive prompt feedback on your questions and get relevant best practices that help you apply Organizational Behavior Management effectively and pleasantly.
The Certified OBM Practitioner Training program can be customized to fit your specific needs. The training typically takes around 6 months to complete. We offer the flexibility to extend the training with additional support, coaching, and training. Contact us for further information or to receive a quotation.
Before progressing to the OBM Practitioner level, individuals must have attended the OBM Foundation Training and passed the OBM Foundation exam.

"You need a potential case to which you will apply OBM. This could be from your own organization or from a client. We provide the opportunity to discuss your case with our trainer to determine if it is suitable for the training.
The fees for the Certified OBM Practitioner course are €2,950 excluding VAT.
This includes:
- The license for the OBM Optimizer software, the online case management system for developing the performance improvement plan and OBM intervention;
- Assessment of the Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) by the examination board;
- Internationally recognized certification by APMG following a positive assessment of the PVP.
- Training and coaching by a certified OBM trainer/coach to implement the OBM intervention and develop the performance improvement plan.

The official examination will be performed by the Exam Committee. However, the OBM Trainer/Coach will play an important part in the examination, because during the training the coach will already test the viability and robustness of the Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) and provide feedback to the candidate to make the appropriate adjustments. The OBM Trainer/Coach will decide whether a candidate meets the criteria to progress to the next phase of their project.
After the final phase is completed and all criteria have been met, the candidate and OBM Trainer/Coach can decide to release the PIP to the Exam Committee for their independent review and assessment.
After an official positive assessment by the Exam Committee, the candidate’s name and email address are released to APMG International, who will issue the certificate and digital badge. Please note that in this case also, APMG will not get access to the actual contents of the project. The official Certified OBM Practitioner badge will be made available by APMG International through the Credly platform, to candidates who passed the exam.
